According to legend, the Forest of Tears was once a mystical place of refuge to a fugitive Cherokee tribe during the Trail of Tears. Within the lush, flourishing woods are carefully-guarded secrets—ones it has kept for nearly two hundred years.

Widower Rafe Kanin and widow Cara Lowe are both struggling to deal with their grief.
